Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core African countries, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 per cent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

About the Role

For SRV, we are looking for a Venture Analyst. You will analyze financial data and market trends to identify potential investments and opportunities for growth for the venture studio's portfolio companies. You will also work closely with the portfolio companies to identify growth opportunities, develop financial projections and budgets, and track and report on financial performance. Over time, you will take on more leadership of the venture-building process.

The Venture Analyst will report to the Venture Studio Director.

Responsibilities

1. Support the Venture Studio Director throughout the investment cycle (origination/hypothesis development, investment proposal writing, due diligence, performance monitoring and scaling, portfolio management, and exits).
2. Post-investment, assess portfolio company needs and provide support
3. Build and maintain financial projections and valuation models.
4. Support reporting and the preparation of presentations to investors/ board

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have the following:
1. 3 or more years of work experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or related field.
2. Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, business, finance, or a related field.
3. Experience with financial and operational due diligence of early-stage businesses, venture building, and a strong grasp of financial statements
4. Ideally, experience in the agricultural sector.
5. Flexibility - SRV is new, so enjoyment of change and learning quickly
