JOB DETAILS:

Everyone deserves the opportunity to build a better future. This simple idea has been at the heart of TechnoServe’s work around the world for over 50 years. TechnoServe is a pioneer in leveraging the power of business and markets to create sustainable pathways out of poverty.
The low-income communities in which we work are full of enterprising people. Their small-scale farms and businesses are the keys to economic development. But they face many challenges: low literacy, lack of access to jobs and markets, unpredictable political dynamics, and, increasingly, the effects of climate change. For many women and young people, the challenges are even more daunting. Working with TechnoServe staff, people around the world are lifting themselves out of poverty. The results are amazing...when incomes increase and living conditions for families get better, they are able to access health care and education previously out of reach. Communities and even whole countries are better off.

Internship Description
We are seeking web development interns (front-end and back-end) to support the development of a web application called MY PIMA. This application will enable various users within the Coffee Africa Program to interact with the data stored on Salesforce easily. The intern will be able to acquire knowledge and work with state-of-the-art tools and technologies in a professional setting, thereby enhancing their experience.

Key Activities and Deliverables
The project will involve working with the PIMA team especially supporting the Sr. System Specialist, based in Kigali, Rwanda.

Tasks will include:
• Develop and test MY PIMA web application
• Design and develop new features and functionalities of MY PIMA applications
• Participate in team meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges
• Identify areas for improvement and provide suggestions for enhancing the application

Key deliverables include:
• A user-friendly web application described above
• Documentation of the web application and a simple user guide
