To assist the continued growth of its bancassurance business, Prime Life Insurance Ltd seeks to recruit a qualified, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional for the position of Bancassurance Sales Officer.
Position Summary
Job Title: Bancassurance Sales Officer
The Bancassurance Sales Officer will be tasked with driving sales growth through banks, microfinance institutions (MFIs), SACCOs, and Non-Deposit Taking Financial Institutions (NDFIs) by developing and maintaining strong business relationships, providing training on bancassurance products and the Company's bancassurance system, delivering quality after-sales assist, monitoring portfolio performance, supporting premium collection, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be tasked with:
- produce and execute weekly sales and business development plans.
- perform field visits to banks, microfinance institutions (MFIs), SACCOs, and Non-Deposit Taking Financial Institutions (NDFIs) to detect new business opportunities and strengthen existing partnerships.
- Achieve assigned sales, premium, and revenue targets.
- Train and coach partner staff on bancassurance products, underwriting procedures, and the use of the Company's bancassurance system.
- deliver after-sales assist by following up on policy issuance, premium payments, renewals, claims, and customer inquiries.
- Receive, follow up, and facilitate the timely resolution of partner complaints in collaboration with relevant departments.
- track partner production and produce periodic sales and performance reports.
- Participate in the recovery of unpaid premiums and collaborate with the Premium Administration Unit in the premium allocation and reconciliation process.
- perform market intelligence by monitoring customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends, and deliver recommendations to the line manager.
- keep strong relationships with business partners and promote high standards of customer service.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
- keep the confidentiality of customer and company information.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management in assist of the Company's strategic objectives.
Required Skills and Competencies
The successful candidate should possess:
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and complaint-handling skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to produce reports and deliver presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve challenging sales targets.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, French, and Kinyarwanda.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Rwandan national.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- At least three (3) years of proven experience in sales and/or marketing.
- Experience in the financial services sector, including insurance, banks, MFIs and SACCOs, will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in achieving sales targets in a performance-driven environment.
- Valid Category B Driving License.
